RUN FATBOY RUN
Roadshow, 96 mins, M, comedy A DD 5.1R 16:9 widescreen enhancedThe British team responsible for this romantic comedy have demonstrated their wit with the sketch show Big Train and the movies Shaun Of The Dead and Hot Fuzz. This time David Schwimmer (the dork from Friends) makes his directing debut and the results are amusing, if occasionally corny. The reliable Simon Pegg plays Dennis, who left the pregnant Libby (Thandie Newton) languishing at the altar. Five years later, Libby and their son are being wooed by an American smoothie (Hank Azaria), a fitness freak training for a marathon. Jealous and desperate, Dennis agrees to run a marathon for charity, egged on by his Indian landlord and the boozing womaniser Gordon (Dylan Moran). Less charming than, say, Hot Fuzz, it still contains great gags, particularly from Moran.Extras Commentary by Schwimmer, Pegg, Newton and Gill Pegg (Simon's mum), deleted scenes, outtakes and a goof reel.Sacha MolitoriszTHE TWILIGHT ZONE: THE ORIGINAL SERIES, SEASON 4 AND 5Shock, PG, 930 mins and 1176 mins, sci-fi/horror A DD mono R 1.33:1 full screen SThis two six-disc set contains the final two seasons of this outstanding TV series. Rod Serling, the show's host and writer of many episodes, introduces each episode. The Twilight Zone told provocative stories dressed up as sci-fi pulp at a time when television censored anything remotely resembling political or social comment. Its place in TV history is assured on the strength of its writing and the parade of now-famous actors that passed through its door.
